Lucilla M. Beebe
lived on a farm in Ludlow, a small town 8 miles from Springfield,
MA. She lived with her mother, Charlotte Lougee Beebe, her father
Andrew Beebe, her younger sister Charlotte, whom she always calls
"L" in the diaries (presumably for "Lottie"),
and her 18 year old brother William, "Will", "W."
or "Willie." Lucilla was 25 years old when she wrote this
diary.
Lucilla enjoyed singing school, going to Sunday meeting, and daily
visits with friends and family, who included the Fullers, Bennetts,
Severances, and many others. |
