Pleasant. Milder with cloud in eve. Good sleighing in Brookline. Rec'd a good letter from Julia (Mrs. Edwin Varney) announcing the death of Wid. Sanderson. Suddenly in Sunday last.
Friday, JAN 2, 1874.
Rainy. Sleighing nearly gone. Carrie went to Symp. Concert this p.m. Wife Carrie & I went to the prep. lectures this eve in vestry by Rev Mr. Bliss (Missionary). Rec'd a good long letter from Julia.

Cloudy with a heavy fog in eve.
Sunday, JAN 4, 1874.
Cloudy. Rainy eve. Clarendon St Baptist Ch. burned this forenoon Went to Ch. am and eve. Rev. Mr Clark ^ABCPM^ McKenzie a text for eve How old art-thou.
Monday, JAN 5, 1874.
Cloudy with a little rain. Geo. staid at home and papered attic chamber.
Tuesday, JAN 6, 1874.
Rainy. Chas E. was in to day.
